I woke this morning expecting to be going on an MX-5 run today but was told that the boys had a surprise morning arranged for me! They arrived and we set off in their car heading for the A30. Just before the slip-road onto it we saw Jo and Paul in their 5 waiting, waving like mad and they slotted in behind us.
The surprise place was Kingsley Village where we parked up and I was told to go and look around Ann's Cottage and I could choose something for my birthday! Wow! There was so much to look at and I was to and fro to the changing rooms so many times that I lost count! In the end I chose a lovely mint hoody by Animal ...
and I'm thrilled with it. We then went upstairs to the cafe and had coffee and cakes - yummy too!
While enjoying our coffee there was some movement near the piano and then a choir appeared. It was Truro Amateur Operatic and Dramatic Society (TAODS) and they began to entertain us!
They were advertising their next production 'Hot Mikado' which will be on at the Hall for Cornwall at the end of September. We then had a look around the wetsuit section where Mike found some gloves - his poor fingers always go white in the water - we made our way downstairs again and had a good wander about. The boys then asked if I had any special request for the afternoon and of course I said I'd like to go in the sea again! Plans were made, Mel contacted and she was up for it again and we all met at Gwithian. The boys managed to hire boards and we had a great time once again.
