Spending Time with the Boys

It was nice to have some time with Jamie and Phill and we came in useful as dog sitters!  On Saturday they had tickets to the Silver Ring at Royal Ascot and left the house suitably attired and carrying their new picnic set …

Snow in Luton

One of the bonuses of our stay in Luton is that we enjoyed some snow.  When you live in Cornwall and very rarely see the white stuff it’s amazing how exciting it is to have it falling and laying!  Hamish loved it and went sniffing about to see who else had been out walking on ‘his patch’.

Simon came up to visit his dad on the Sunday after his op and by the end of the day the snow was falling and beginning to lay.  He left early just in case he had a bad drive home but he said it disappeared the further down the M1 that he went.

Jamie and Phill had been out for the day at Grace’s first birthday party and by the time they got home it was really laying.  Phill put the lights on in their front garden so we could take  photos – very pretty!

Help from the AA then a Trip out in the RV

Yesterday was spent at Trago Mills where we found lots of bargains.  When we got back I tried to start the motorhome but found we had a completely flat battery!  At some stage the leisure battery had been switched over to the vehicle one and bingo – one flat battery.  Nobody had any jump leads so first thing this morning I rang the AA and a chap was soon out to help us …

With the engine running again we decided to take the motorhome out today to give it a good run.  We set off to Croyde and as we arrived it began to rain. So while the boys went for a walk on the beach with the dogs Mike and I had lunch.  It was a very difficult walk down to the sand so I left Mike in the rv and collecting Hamish from Jamie and Phill, I made my way down on my own.
