After a very windy and damp start to the day the children finally made it to the beach only to find that the Lifeguards had posted red flags and nobody was allowed in the sea. They played on the sand until the tide came in and they could transfer to the little beach by the Waterfront Pub. By this time the waves were crashing over the harbour arm and people were moved to safety from the end of the harbour on the far side ...
Nothing fazed Ellie though ...
she had a great time ...
We left Ellie and Simon and moved with the boys to the car park by the sea to watch the waves pounding in ...
Back in the harbour there was plenty to do to make sure that the boats were okay ...
And Hamish kept an eye on all the comings and goings ...
It is very hard to believe that this is the middle of August and it is supposed to be summer!!
