No motorhome allowed as we have to take the MX-5 for the Owners Club Spring Rally at Haynes Motor Museum, Sparkford. We set off just after 11am and after a pitstop at Sourton Services we finally arrived at Long Hazel campsite, Sparkford just after 2.30pm. We were the first there although apparently they are expecting loads more Club members. We were shown our pitch and soon had the tent erected and the kettle on. Our fellow Cornish members Mike and Sharon had left the county after lunch and arrived late afternoon. We helped them with their tent and made quite a nice little set-up for ourselves ...
By the end of the evening there were a few small tents over the far side but all was very quiet - except for the A303 which was right next to us! The men cooked (we had sweet and sour chicken with rice and they had a curry with rice), we had a few glasses of red wine - a perfect evening!
