Godrevy for Lunch

The RV is still at home waiting to have the speedo sorted and as it is a glorious day we decided to nip along the coast to a favourite spot - Godrevy. The fridge was raided, tea and coffee loaded, Pam (aka Grandma) was collected and off we went. The area is owned by the National Trust and during the summer season they open up a field to park in which overlooks the bay. After lunch we took Hamish for a run while Pam got out her palette and paper and chose her subject for today. We went to look down into the bay where the seals are usually resting on the sand ...

but at first glance it looked as if we were to be unlucky and there were none around. Then a head popped out of the water ...

We walked on over the top of the cliff looking down on the RV and where the artist was hard at work ...

This side has the lighthouse as a backdrop ...

The track leads down to a stile ...

and then it is across the field and back to see how the picture is progressing ...

Pretty good we thought ...

After a quick cuppa and a last look at the fantastic view ...

it was packing up time and the short trip back to Portreath.
