Breaking Camp

It's that horrible sad day again when the tents get packed away for another year and we have to say goodbye to the family. Jamie and Phill's pitch had to be cleared first as there were new occupants arriving today so this one took priority ...

then it was time for Simon and Vikki's with Jack being lifted up to reach the high clips ...

Soon it too was down and being packed up ...

It was all too much for Cameron who decided that a rest on our boot rack was in order!

Everything that lives in our attic was transported to Portreath and stored away.

We had one major problem today as we found out that Pam had used her Aid Call early this morning and had been rushed into Treliske hospital. We'd received a phone call at six o'clock when fast asleep and thought it a cold call as no-one appeared to be on the line when we were awake enough to answer. I was expecting another call if it had been something important but we heard nothing. Purely by chance I checked our answerphone late morning when we got home and found that that the Aid Call people had rung us at six to say that Pam had activated her handset and that paramedics had been called. Naturally we were stunned by the news and frantically tried to find out where she was and what had happened. I can't believe that they didn't ring again and actually speak to us not just leave a message that we may or may not pick up immediately. We tracked her down at the hospital and the boys looked in on her on their way home reporting that she was okay although feeling a little poorly.
