High Tide

Tonight was one of the highest tides of the year so far and with an onshore wind it all made for some good waves for the surfers ...

The waves were crashing over the harbour arm ...

and looking back up the harbour it was lovely to see all the boats afloat - so much nicer than when they're sitting on the sand!

Lads were having fun jumping into the water by the Waterfront Inn ...

As Hamish and I walked back we had to dodge the odd wave that came over the side and it was lapping over the pinch between the outer and inner harbour ...

When we got back up to the car park we saw the family of ducks sitting on the edge and trying to decide whether to jump in or not ...

Shall we or shan't we?

Then we were back home again ...

I still can't believe that I'm lucky enough to be living with this view as my front garden!

You are extremely lucky. I do miss living close to the sea here in land-locked Worcestershire but I'm off to Northumberland soon for a holiday - hurrah!
