Jo had taken advantage of the fab showers and washed her hair before we moved on to an unknown shower block. What better way to dry it than sitting out in the sun ...
We were soon packed up and on the road again passing Sir Francis Drake as we left Tavistock behind ...
After negotiating Plymouth we then had some very narrow roads which left Paul feeling very sick but eventually we arrived at Slapton Sands C&C site and the pitch we were given had a glimpse of the sea through the trees ...
Jo and Paul were determined to try out their awning as we were staying four nights and so the construction began ...
It went up surprisingly quickly ...
and looked absolutely fantastic when finished ...
In the afternoon we took Hamish for a walk into the village of Slapton ...
There's a lovely church ...
and some beautiful wisteria hanging all around this dinky little bridge ...
This is the 14th century tower which is all that remains of a monastic college of chantry priests at Slapton ...
At the foot of it is the Tower Inn where Hamish met another Westie who took an instant dislike to him and so we moved on pretty quickly! This little cottage took my eye as the thatcher's 'signature' was an owl ...
It's a quaint little village with very narrow lanes and not really suitable for cars!

Looks like a beautiful place to camp. Our wisteria is long gone coming in March.
If the world didn't know I was daft before, they do now LOL x but hey, using the sun has gotta be better than a hairdryer!
Of course it's better it's free! We've all done it but you unluckily had someone with a camera to snap the event!! x
