Lunch at The Pandora Inn

Simon has come back to Cornwall on his own for a few days holiday and today he drove us to The Pandora Inn at Restronguet Creek for lunch.  Eighteen months ago the 13th Century pub was ravaged by fire but today it was looking fantastic in the sunshine.  We sat out on the pontoon and enjoyed our drinks and food.

After lunch we went to the gold postbox which had been painted for the Olympic sailor Ben Ainslie who learned to sail here at Restronguet Creek …

After a few extra photos of the pub and pontoon we set off for home …

In the afternoon Simon got kitted up for a cycle ride and he rode the Coast to Coast route.  He shot past so fast I only just managed to catch a glimpse of him!!

It's good to see the Pandora Inn restored. We stayed in a cottage in Restronguet Creek two years ago and had a few visits to the pub. The creek looks wonderful from your pictures, just as I remembered.

Sorry, hadn't noticed this post until now.

Lovely - nice that The Pandora is looking good again.
