Pilates for Men

Mel had got the Hall today and was giving two free classes - one for the girls and one for the boys. Jamie and Phill arrived in Cornwall at 5am this morning and were booked into the class at 10am along with Simon! When we walked round we found that Paul had been coerced into going by Jo and Mel had invited us both to join them as it was a family affair! I had my camera of course to record the momentous occasion and we began our class.

Everyone had a really good time and they've learnt a lot about Pilates. Simon was especially keen and may well look for a class near his home as he reckons he'd be the only bloke in a room full of ladies!!

Mel had got some new 1kg and 0.5kg balls for us to use today ...

The plank ...

Table top legs and the ring ...

Roll like a ball ...

Jo and I worked extra hard as we didn't want the chaps to say we were slacking and so by the end of the hour we were exhausted!

Nice pics Ms M...think we should employ you to take pics of each time we do the plank so we can see how long the backs are and how high up the bums shouldn't be..
1st pic, me demonstrating how not to stand...Simon showing Swayback to perfection, Paul crossed arms and wishing he was at home, Phil & Jamie listening intently..
Hope Simon finds a class closer to home full of girlies...let him know my next Blog is Pilates for Golf..certain moves to improve your swing (!)

What a brilliant idea! I think the plank pic is the best for showing right and wrong. Jo is very proud of that photo as she's doing it correctly and it is very obvious that Jamie is not! We need mirrors Mel - you need a Studio!!
