A Special Day

Another momentous day.

If my father had been alive he would have been celebrating his 100th birthday today. The weather was foul but we went over to Constantine church ...

to take some flowers ...

When my parents were alive they lived in Gweek so we had a 'birthday' lunch in the pub there and had a drink for him. Happy 100th Daddy xx

As a young man ...

and doing what he loved ...

That's a nice touch Sally, I always have a drink to Dad on New Year's Eve, and on his birthday with the bottle of whiskey I brought him in Ireland (Jamieson's special reserve) but I would like to think I will be around for his and Mum's 100th birthdays to do what you have done.

ps - next time we are down, do you fancy a coffee subject to you being available.

I felt I needed to do it and I'm really glad that I did but I shed a few tears in the process.

We'd love to meet up with you for a coffee when you're next down in Portreath. For obvious reasons I don't want to publish my address or phone number so maybe we could arrange to meet somewhere?
