I don't think we have ever been up so early on a Sunday morning on a campsite! It was a good half hour drive to the church and the Service was due to start at 9.30am. Knowing there was limited parking and having a rather large vehicle we wanted to get there in plenty of time to find a space. The church was full of friends and relatives and little Elyse was so good - not a sound from her at all. We had a group photo taken outside and the star of the day was centre stage ... My friend Jo had made a card for me ...
This is my cousin Sue, with her daughter Hannah and her daughter Elyse - three generations ...
And of course we finished with cake ...
After leaving the celebrations we went back to the campsite. Hamish was on guard duty while we had a cuppa ...
and then we took him for a long walk along the towpath in the opposite direction to last night. He'd been such a good boy all day that he deserved a good run with plenty of interesting smells!
We saw this little family of geese ...
