Coffee and Shopping in Falmouth

No holiday in Cornwall is complete without a trip to Trago Mills! We all found a few necessary items and then we headed to the Watersports Centre for coffee and an early lunch.

When we got back to the cars the Mini had a ticket attached!!  Apparently the machine has a problem with some coins and although it took our £2.20 it had only registered £2.10 and so there was just one hour on one of the tickets and two hours on the other.  We spoke to the Armtrac lady who understood our problem but couldn’t help us.  Thankfully upon returning home we managed to sort it out and no fine had to be paid as it wasn’t our fault.  Beware any visitors!  If you park on the Maritime Museum Car Park then do check your ticket and make sure it has printed the length of time that you want.

Cleaning then Rewards–Shopping!

We decided to have a  morning at the site as it’s been so hot.  I got out our extendable ladder and used the time to remove all the green muck that was around the edge of our skylight.  I’d given it a scrub at home by standing on our garage roof but as it’s stored under trees it gets a load of green stuff that is hard to shift.  Jo was sitting reading more of Fifty Shades so I gave her a wave …

After lunch we drove to Great Torrington and the Dartington Crystal Outlet Store.  It was too hot to take the factory tour but not too hot to shop!!  I found a lovely leather handbag and a couple of tops while Jo got some trousers and tops all in the Edinburgh Woollen Mill shop.  We then had a wander around the glass sales and spotted a very special little corner …

Hospital Visit

We had to go to Treliske this morning as Mike had an appointment in the Ophthamology Department and as we stepped off the Park and Ride bus we noticed that the Air Ambulance was parked on the tarmac outside A&E. Being a good Blogger I never go anywhere without my trusty camera and so naturally we went to have a look! I waited for the patient to be taken away on a trolley before taking a couple of shots as I didn't want to be accused of being ghoulish!

While sitting and waiting to see the Consultant I heard the helicopter take off again. Another successful trip for them and I just hope the patient is okay. After seeing Mr Kumar we walked over to The Range as they sell the most delicious raspberry flavoured Australian liquorice and we needed a couple of packs.

It was then a short walk to pick up the Park and Ride bus back to the car and drive home. Well we had to go via Matalan and the Factory Shop but if you're passing that close it's criminal not to stop, look and buy!
