I was up early this morning and the sky was beautiful …
Jamie and Phill had left home in the early hours and arrived here at 8.30am much to Carol’s dismay. Carol is the site manager along with Greg her husband and the boys were told off for arriving three and a half hours early!! It was a friendly telling off and once the office opened at 9am they were checked in and shown to their pitch.
While we breakfasted and watched them they set up camp and the awning was erected very quickly …
They needed some food from Tesco and some sealant from Homebase and so we drove into Barnstaple. As we approached the two bridges we could see that the river had completely flooded the valley and on the way back we stopped to take some photos …
It was impossible to work out the course of the river.
After lunch Jamie got to work on the small leak …
and then it was snooze time for everyone. The sun went down on their first day …
