Tavistock Town and Campsite

We woke this morning to a damp day and were very pleased that we'd driven across the moor yesterday leaving a trip into Tavistock for today. After parking in the town we walked along the riverside towards the bridge ...

and into the town itself where there are some fantastic old buildings ...

After a wander around the Pannier Market ...

which was thankfully dog-friendly and where Fred throughly embarrassed Paul by deciding that he rather liked a little soft toy which was in a basket on the floor, we made our way over to the shops as Jo was on a mission! I won't say any more but she did find what she wanted and got a bargain of two for a tenner! It was then back to the car passing this chap on the way ...

a return walk along the river ...

and back to the site for lunch. In the afternoon Mike and I had a wander around the site and found the second dog-walk ...

It's a lovely campsite with fantastic facilities (six individual bathrooms in the Ladies!) and with plants everwhere looking very colourful ...

There is also a residential park on the site and I just loved what it was called ...

I'm sure every male who may read this will say there is no such thing as a silent woman!! Around the corner and we were on the last stretch of our walk where I spotted this sign in the window of an RV ...

Now I can hear the men saying 'That's more like it'!! The weather was much drier by now so we sat outside ...

although Jo was her usual cold self and had to have her blanket round her! Came in handy for checking her phone for emails!

The boys were looking like little angels ...

During the rain there had been a problem with a leaking rooflight on the caravan so Paul borrowed our new extending ladder to check it out ...

Another little job for him to do! A nice sunset to end the day ...
