Love the way the tree stands in the window... and the lights are great... Will have to take some pictures of the horror overlit houses up here for the blog... even in the credit crunch it hasn't bit everyone as hard as we have entire winterwonderlands on individual houses...
As for keeping the tree up off the floor, yeah, we have to do the same here due to my dog.
Honestly, as soon as he see's the tree arrive, he thinks it's the height of luxury to have an indoor toilet, LOL. Which is why, like you, we have to get it off the floor, LOL.
the decorations have been dug out of their box ...
and we've gone a bit overboard on the outside lights ...
The upstairs window has little robins which light up the computer room for me. Unfortunately I don't take good photos outside in the dark!
